Daniel “Danny” Atkinson, Jr. received a degree in mechanical engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1983, where he earned the prestigious Pi Tau Sigma award. After passing the EIT examination in his senior year and graduating from the College of Engineering, he was accepted into the MBA graduate program at LSU in 1984. Later, he graduated from the LSU Law School (Paul M. Hebert Law Center) in 1987. Since 1987, Danny has practiced as a civil trial lawyer, having tried hundreds of jury trials and having handled well over one hundred appeals.
Since 1987, Danny has represented many of the top insurance companies in the nation along with their insureds. His insurance clients often call upon him to offer opinions and analysis concerning insurance coverage. Danny has also represented injured parties against insurance companies, including patients injured as the result of medical malpractice. His general civil practice is wide-ranging and has allowed him to represent clients involving a myriad of legal issues and claims.
Danny also offers his services as a mediator particularly in cases involving products liability, construction defects and complex litigation involving engineering issues. Danny joined the Joubert Law Firm in January 2017 and will practice in the areas of construction law, mediation and serious personal injury cases.
